This Privacy Policy applies to Resumize, our sales pages, related websites, payment-link flows, support communications, and career-document services that link to this policy ("Services").
By using the Services, you acknowledge that we collect, use, and share information as described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
02Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information received from service providers or integrations you choose to use.
Information you provide
- Contact details such as name, email address, phone number, location, and support messages.
- Account or purchase details needed to provide access, billing support, and customer service.
- Survey, feedback, testimonial, waitlist, or marketing-preference information.
03Career Content
If you use Resumize product features, we may process career materials you provide, including resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn text, job descriptions, work history, education, skills, certifications, notes, goals, application details, and generated drafts.
You should not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your use of the Services and you are comfortable having it processed by Resumize and its service providers.
04Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our pages or use the Services, we may collect usage, device, and connection information, including pages viewed, actions taken, referring URLs, browser type, operating system, device type, IP address, approximate location, timestamps, and similar diagnostic information.
05Payment Information
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including Paddle and/or Razorpay. We do not intend to store full payment-card numbers on our own systems. Payment processors may collect card details, billing information, tax information, payment status, invoice details, and fraud-prevention signals.
Payment infrastructure and Merchant of Record. We may share specific personal and transactional data with our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd and its subsidiaries ("Paddle"), to safely process payments, manage subscription status, provide receipts, handle disputes and refunds, prevent fraud, and manage localized global tax compliance such as VAT and sales tax.
Information shared with Paddle may include your name, email address, IP address, approximate location, country, tax-related location signals, product purchased, plan, billing interval, transaction identifiers, subscription status, and support or refund details relevant to the transaction. Paddle handles payment details such as card information directly; Resumize does not store or access your raw financial credentials. Paddle's handling of personal data is governed by Paddle's own Privacy Policy.
We may receive limited payment-related information from those providers, such as customer identifiers, plan purchased, amount, currency, billing interval, payment status, invoice or receipt identifiers, and refund/cancellation status.
06Subscription Cancellation and Refund Data
When you cancel a subscription renewal or contact us about a refund, we may process account, subscription, payment provider, billing period, usage, support communication, and transaction reference data to verify eligibility, prevent abuse, process the request, and maintain financial records.
Payment processing, subscription management, tax records, fraud prevention, disputes, chargebacks, and refunds may be handled by third-party payment providers such as Paddle or Razorpay. We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials on our servers.
07How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Process purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, refunds, invoices, and support requests.
- Generate, analyze, rewrite, score, or tailor career documents when you request those features.
- Respond to messages, troubleshoot issues, and send administrative notices.
- Understand page performance, conversion, A/B testing, feature usage, and product quality.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized activity.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
- Send marketing communications where permitted, with opt-out choices where required.
08AI Processing
Some features may use artificial intelligence or machine-learning providers to generate suggestions, rewrite content, analyze job descriptions, score career materials, draft cover letters, or provide profile optimization recommendations. When you use those features, your prompts, uploaded text, resume content, job descriptions, and related career materials may be sent to secure third-party artificial intelligence API providers, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar providers, solely to provide the requested functionality and related support, security, and quality controls.
We do not sell your uploaded resume text, work history, documents, or personal details to third parties. Where supported by our selected AI provider configuration, we use API or business settings designed so that your personal data, work history, uploaded documents, and prompts are not used by those third-party AI providers to train their public machine-learning models.
AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing output before using it. We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand and improve Services, but we do not intend to sell your resume or career materials.
09How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that support hosting, infrastructure, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, security, and AI functionality.
- Payment processors such as Paddle and Razorpay to complete transactions, manage subscriptions, prevent fraud, and handle taxes, invoices, disputes, and refunds.
- Professional advisors, legal authorities, regulators, or law enforcement where required or appropriate.
- Successors or affiliates in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
- Other parties when you ask us to share information or give consent.
We do not sell personal information in the conventional sense. If applicable privacy laws define certain advertising or analytics practices as "sharing" or "sale," you may have rights to opt out as described below.
10Cookies and Tracking
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate pages, remember preferences, measure traffic, understand campaigns, improve conversion, detect abuse, and support marketing.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect functionality, analytics accuracy, or checkout behavior.
11Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services, operate accounts, process payments, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain business records.
When information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it. Some information may remain in backups, logs, tax records, transaction records, or fraud-prevention records for a limited period or as required by law.
12Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13International Transfers
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from your local laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
14Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of certain marketing, targeted advertising, or sale/share practices.
To exercise rights, contact us at hello@resumize.live. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request and may ask for information reasonably needed to match your request to your account, purchase, support message, or usage records.
We aim to respond to valid privacy requests within one month where required by applicable law. We generally do not charge a fee for reasonable privacy requests, but we may refuse, limit, or charge a reasonable fee for requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, repetitive, technically infeasible, or legally restricted. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
California and U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights to know, access, delete, correct, port, or opt out of certain data practices. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
EEA, UK, and similar-region rights
If applicable, our legal bases for processing may include contract performance, consent, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and protection of rights and security. You may have the right to lodge a complaint with a local data-protection authority.
15Children
The Services are not intended for children under 18 or the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
16Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last revised. If changes are material, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or by another appropriate method.
